Merida Marathon

The Saturday morning welcomed the inaugural Gore road sportive, a 40 or 80 mile route through the surrounding hills which was tackled by Mammoth's Fran Hitchen and Granville Dolan. Sunday was the Marathon proper, a tough course finished by Steve Hitchen in 4 hours 45 minutes, Shaun Pallister (5.00) and Chris Lamb.
