Mammoth's Ross Brinson was keen to stop Will Verney repeating his first round win in the junior section despite the cold conditions. He was the only rider capable of staying with Verney who blasted from the gun. But the challenge only lasted a lap with the relentless pressure forcing him to accept second spot!!
